May I present to you my second movie review on this website? Honestly, I do not need to ask your permission to do this. Since, after all, this is my website and I may write here whatever I choose. Therefore, without further ado, the new movie by the one and only Guy Ritchie starring Jason Statham in a leading role, Operation Fortune.

Let’s start with some basic questions.
Did I like this movie? Yes.
Did my significant other like this movie as well? Yes.
Was this the best movie directed and written by Guy Ritchie? Probably not. Hard to say really, all three last movies by Mr. Ritchie have been great. The Gentlemen, The Wrath of Man, and now Operation Fortune. All three are movies that you can watch over and over and still find little details you missed the previous time.
What did I think about the performance of Ms. Aubrey Plaza? That woman is spectacular. Her witty humor, her line delivery, and her chemistry with the other cast were pure joy to watch.
Is Jason Statham still the action movie star that draws audiences to movie theaters? Yes. Damn well yes. I still like and love Transporter 2. When my dad bought Transporter 2 DVD I used to watch it at least once every week. Probably that explains my love for Audi as well. Mr. Statham is a rock-solid name in his movie genre. He might probably never win an Oscar or a Golden Globe in his movie career, but he has won the hearts and admiration of action genre audiences. Also, a little side note, Mr. Statham is an avid watch fan. More points from me to Jason aka the man, the myth, the legend.

What was the main car of this movie? A red Ford Mustang. Not the one that is seen above of course. This 1965 Ford Mustang is from my recent trip to the Autoworld Museum. You remember it, don’t you?
Were there any watches shown in this movie? Yes, there were. One was a green dial Panerai Radiomir with a reference number PAM00995. A stunning watch.

There was also one watch with a black dial that Jason Statham’s character offered as a bribe. It looked like an Audemars Piguet code 11:59 but when I try to google it. Sadly, no results.
Operation Fortune is a funny, witty, action-packed movie. There is no romance, no love story, and no overly complex plot. It is just a good movie by a great director with an amazing cast that brings a memorable movie experience to an audience. People will want to see this movie again and again once it is released on DVD or is available on a streaming platform.
Jason Statham is still my favorite action movie star. Guy Ritchie is still one my all-time favorite directors/writers. Aubrey Plaza is an amazing actress. Hugh Grant in this movie and in The Gentlemen has found his second calling as an actor. Hat’s off to the wardrobe department of Mr. Ritchie’s movies. And, if I may, Orson Fortune is really a sexy name.
Looking forward to what Mr. Ritchie is going to make next. Hopefully, he’ll bring the majority of this cast back.
Kind regards,
Olaaf
